What this is
BracketForge is a free single elimination tournament bracket generator. Enter 2 to 64 team names, and it draws a correctly seeded bracket with byes placed by standard tournament convention, tracks scores round by round, and lets you print the draw, export it as a PNG, or share it with a single link.
It exists because making a bracket should take ten seconds, not ten minutes of fighting a spreadsheet template or signing up for a tournament platform you will use exactly once. No account, no watermark, no locked features — the whole tool, free, forever.
How your data is handled
Everything runs in your browser. When you click Share Link, the bracket state — team names, scores, options — is compressed into the URL itself. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored on a server, and we cannot see your brackets. Close the tab and the only copy that exists is the link you shared.
The rules we follow
Seeding follows the standard tennis-style placement: the No.1 seed at the top of the draw, the No.2 seed at the bottom, and every first-round pairing summing to a constant (1v16, 8v9, 5v12... in a 16 draw). Byes always go to the highest seeds, matching the convention used by virtually every governing body. Third place matches follow the World Cup model: the two semifinal losers meet for bronze.
